Chemical-free and reliable disinfection of water containing salt, such as seawater or thermal water.

The UV system DULCODES LP-PE plastic is absolutely corrosion-free. This is ensured by the UV-stabilised, highly compressed HD-PE reactor and a special sensor made of plastic. Thanks to a special welding process, the reactor is temperature-resistant and optimised to a pressure rating of up to 4 bar. Our patented VARIO Flux high-output lamps with dynamic lamp heating are used in our LP-PE systems. We achieve an extremely high UVC efficiency thanks to the unique combination of electronic ballast technology and the VARIO Flux lamps.

Control cabinet made of coated steel
Single-lamp system: equipped with either a Compact controller or Comfort controller UVCb
Various options for simple integration of the system in higher-level control systems thanks to many analogue and digital interfaces and connectors
Data logger: all relevant operating data and events are saved on the SD card and can be simply and conveniently visualised with an analysis programme.

In advanced water treatment, a second stage of disinfection is often added to the standard chlorine process. Modern UV or ozone systems minimise by-products, are easy to install, improve water quality and cut operating costs.

Cut consumption – but maintain effectiveness

ProMinent has become a specialist in efficient and easy-to-install UV and ozone systems, reliably serving customers the world over. In difficult conditions, such as when there are high levels of urea and germs, using ozone systems can increase disinfection protection and minimise use of chlorine as the disinfectant. They are prescribed according to DIN 19643 as an additional means of disinfection for hydrotherapy pools in Germany, provided that there is no ultrafiltration in the water treatment.

Advantages of ozone disinfection

Ozone-based disinfection offers numerous benefits: No unwanted by-products are produced, the smell typically associated with swimming pools doesn’t arise and there is no need to meter flocculants. Circulation capacity, the supply of fresh water and chemical consumption are all reduced, cutting operating costs.

UV systems are a cost-effective way of reliably breaking down chloramines and safely killing off chlorine-resistant germs. The result is vastly improved water quality. Other plus points, all of which help to reduce operating costs, include the minimal space requirement, suitability for retrofitting and the fact that operation requires virtually no maintenance.

No matter whether it’s very dirty or hardly contaminated at all, process water is easy to treat with ProMinent products and systems. Our filters, reverse osmosis systems and chlorine dioxide metering prevent very dirty water from being contaminated again. Disinfecting with ozone or chlorine dioxide may be all that is required for slightly contaminated water or process water subject to less stringent requirements (water vapour in dairies for example).
