Chemical-free disinfection of production water for the food and beverage industry

Pioneering water treatment – highly efficient UV system DULCODES LP F&B with VARIO-Flux lamp and dynamic lamp heating. The reduced number of lamps and minimal use of energy deliver maximum efficiency and minimal operating costs.

Optimised flow in the radiation chamber results in an even dose of radiation across the entire volumetric flow. At the same time the pressure loss is kept to a minimum.

The DULCODES LP F&B is the first UV system to be quickly and precisely controllable over a wide temperature range. It automatically adapts to changing flows or changes in water quality.

The unique combination of electronic ballast technology and the VARIO-Flux lamps enables the system to be quickly and precisely dimmed over a broad capacity range of up to 50%.
Stainless steel control cabinet with IP 66 degree of protection.

High-grade stainless steel 1.4404/316L reactor hydraulically optimised by means of computer simulation.
High-output amalgam lamps “VARIO-Flux” with dynamic lamp heating.

It makes economic sense to reuse process water.

Why would you discharge water just because you’ve used it once? If this water is treated properly, it can be reused with ease, cutting costs in no time.

No matter whether it’s very dirty or hardly contaminated at all, process water is easy to treat with ProMinent products and systems. Our filters, reverse osmosis systems and chlorine dioxide metering prevent very dirty water from being contaminated again. Disinfecting with ozone or chlorine dioxide may be all that is required for slightly contaminated water or process water subject to less stringent requirements (water vapour in dairies for example). An investment in process water treatment pays off very quickly.

More and more people are enjoying delicacies from our seas. Fish farms and also the fish processing industry therefore face the huge challenge of producing goods quickly and hygienically. Disinfected water is essential to both industries.

Water quality is a decisive criterion for professional and successful fish or shrimp farming. And the use of measuring, control and metering technology is indispensable. Sensors, like the Dulcotest, provide reliable information about all relevant water parameters, such as pH or oxygen content, at all times. Bono Zon ozone generation systems or UV systems, such as Dulcodes Z, ensure that the water in the farm ponds is correctly disinfected. This is essential if fish and shrimp farms are to protect their livestock from disease.

ProMinent’s metering and disinfection systems are used all over the work to process and package seafood and optimise CIP processes. ProMinent metering systems are an optimum solution for metering cleaning agents and disinfectants while highly efficient ProMinent systems produce chlorine dioxide or ECA.

To guarantee an end product fit for purpose, ProMinent ensures optimum water quality at every stage of production, thereby reliably complying with statutory hygiene standards.

Both ozone and UV systems are well suited to providing reliable disinfection of process water. Both types of disinfection system have the benefit of being very environmentally-friendly. To also suppress all potential microbiological risks, we recommend using metering and disinfection systems too, especially in CIP processes. ProMinent metering systems are an optimum solution for metering cleaning agents and disinfectants while highly efficient ProMinent systems produce chlorine dioxide or ECA.

Many dairies dispose of the vapour water produced during production via the sewer system. But it is often a good idea to reuse some of this water, firstly to cut high disposal costs and secondly to reduce the amount of fresh water used. For example, the water vapour can be used for the recooling towers, to flush all tanks and pipes, as a cleaning agent additive, as control water to flush the centrifuges or sometimes also in mould washing machines. Because vapour water often contains aromas and other organic substances, providing nutrients for germs, it is essential that it is first disinfected. Chlorine dioxide, reliably and safely generated on site with ProMinent’s Bello-Zon chlorine dioxide generation systems, is a cost-effective way of doing this.
