The eccentric screw pump SPECTRA meters liquid polyelectrolytes in concentrated and dilute form.

The eccentric screw pump SPECTRA meters liquid polyelectrolytes in concentrated and dilute form.
It can be used, for example, in wastewater treatment or sludge dewatering.
Pump ultra-gently, meter precisely and with a wealth of applications.
The Eccentric Screw Pump SPECTRA has been designed for pumping polymer solutions with a viscosity of up to 5000 mPas.
It is low-maintenance and can even be used if polymer solutions containing oil are to be metered.
The pumps are equipped with gear motors and can be operated via an external frequency converter.
Given the motor’s IE3 energy efficiency class, it doesn’t have an external fan.
The pump should be fitted with dry-running protection.

Flocculation and filtration in the supply of potable water
Effective removal of solids for optimum water quality
Flocculation and filtration are amongst the key steps in potable water treatment.
They remove turbidity, suspended matter and dissolved particles from the water through the use of specific chemical and physical processes.
Upstream coagulation, precipitation or flocculation vastly improves the effectiveness of any subsequent sand or membrane filtration.
Meter flocculants in a targeted fashion – with systems from ProMinent
Precise ProMinent metering systems allow for the optimum use of liquid and solid flocculants (e.g. ferrous and aluminium salts) as well as flocculation aids (like polymers).
They cause tiny particles to come together to produce larger flakes, which are easier to filter out.
This also helps to efficiently remove oxidation products from (pre-)oxidation.
Filtration technologies: Traditional or ultra-modern
Various filtration methods are used as required:
- Sand filtration for mechanical pre-filtration
- Ultrafiltration and membrane filtration for the finest levels of retention
These technologies reliably remove particles, micro-organisms and dissolved substances from the water.
Additional option: Activated carbon to adsorb trace elements
Powdered activated carbon can also be used upstream of filtration.
This specifically binds natural organic matter (NOM), fragrances, flavourings as well as microscopic residue, e.g. that from drugs or pesticides.
